Nidever Canyon Trail Details
Much of San Miguel Island is off-limits without being accompanied by a park ranger because of conservation efforts, but you are free to hike the Nidever Canyon Trail on your own. From the dune above Gull Rock in Cuyler Harbor, follow the trail east along the canyon. Highlights include the Cabrillo Monument and the Lester Ranch site, and the trail also passes the island ranger station and restrooms.
