Wildwood Canyon Details

This canyon/state park can be found near the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains on the southwestern side of the San Bernardino National Forest. Historically, this land was inhabited by Cahuilla, Serrano, and Tongva tribes, although it was later used by ranchers. The Hi Up House ranch and Hunt Ranch from the 1930s and 1940s can still be seen in the park today. However, human inhabitants have since left, leaving just the plants and animals to flourish. Keep your eyes peeled for black-tailed jackrabbits, turkey vultures, and Granite spiny lizards as you make your way around the park. More dangerous critters like mountain lions and red-diamond rattlesnakes are also present, although it is uncommon to cross paths with them.
