Verdugo Mountains Details

Set entirely in Los Angeles County, these urban mountains are a sight to see. While the best views of them are from the Rim of the Valley Trail Corridor and the Angeles National Forest, nothing beats visiting them firsthand to marvel at their natural beauty. They are covered in a shroud of mature coast oaks, sycamores, and big leaf maple forests, giving them a lush, green appearance. Some of the peaks are nearly 3,000-feet high and are primarily used by hikers and mountain bikers. You can also reach the summit of the northwestern mountain by driving up the Foothill Freeway.
