Lined with swaying palms and rocky outcroppings, this beach is one of the more unique places to visit along the Gaviota Coast. On a warm day, the shore is teeming with sunbathers, surfers, and anglers, as well as warblers, woodpeckers, and shorebirds. More adventurous hikers can head inland for hiking. There is a 2.5-mile nature trail between this beach and the El Capitan State Beach with amazing views of the ocean. Kayaking tours are also offered in the summer by the parks lifeguards.
