Auto Touring Details
Although many visitors to Hot Springs National Park focus on Bathhouse Row, the park also offers a number of lovely drives. The park is divided into two sections, eastern and western, and is bisected by Central Avenue. In the eastern part of the park, Hot Springs Mountain Drive and the North Mountain Loop Drive, both on Hot Springs Mountain, are a good place to start. The drive winds up and around both mountains to the mountaintops, with lots of scenic views. Gorge Road (Hwy. 7) goes north/south through the far eastern part of the park and delivers visitors to the park's only campground at Gulpha Gorge. West Mountain Drive, which appropriately covers West Mountain, offers the best access to the western portion of the park as well as lovely mountain vistas.
