Bicycling Details

If you want to get on your bike and ride, Saguaro National Park is a terrific place to get in the saddle. In the Rincon Mountain District to the east, bicycling is permitted on the eight-mile Cactus Forest Loop Road, the 2.5-mile Cactus Forest Trail, and the park's newest trail, the 2.8-mile Hope Camp Trail. To the west in the Tucson Mountain District, the six-mile Bajada Loop Drive is terrific for bicycling; the road is gravel most of the way, however, so you'll want a fat-tired bike. Note, however, that all hiking trails in this district are closed to biking. If you want to explore more on two wheels in this area, check out the adjacent Tucson Mountain Park, where many trails are open to biking. A [Tucson Bike Map can be found here](http://www.pagnet.org/bikemap). All bicyclists under the age of 18 are required to wear helmets, and the park recommends all cyclists wear helmets, gloves, and glasses. After sunset, rear reflectors and headlights are required to ride in the park.
