South Entrance Station Details
There are two entrance stations to Petrified Forest National Park; the South Entrance is accessed from Highway 180, approximately 19 miles west of Holbrook, Ariz., and 41 miles north of St. Johns; the entrance station, where you pay your entry fee and get park brochures is located up the road. Near the entrance station are a number of trails, such as Agate House, Long Logs and Giant Logs, as well as the Rainbow Forest Museum and picnic area. The museum features restrooms and a gift shop.
