Plan Around Bicycling
A good stop is not just something to read about. Once it belongs on the day, move into a saved trip and build the route around it.
Use this detail page to confirm that the stop is worth it, then carry that decision into a trip draft while the park context is still fresh.
Bicycling Details
Bicycling in Grand Canyon National Park can be a fantastic way to travel green on park roads, both paved and unpaved, as well as on Hermit Road and the Hermit Road Greenway Trail. Otherwise, bicycles are prohibited on all trails, including the Rim Trail. Cyclists should always obey traffic regulations and rules: ride single file with the flow of traffic, and always wear a helmet. Bicycles are available for rent during warmer months on the South Rim from Bright Angel Bicycles, which also offers guided cycling tours.
