Beamer Trail Details
This trail follows the east side of Tanner Delta to the junction of the Colorado River and the Little Colorado River. The trailhead is off the Tanner Trail, the difficulty of which makes the Beamer Trail seem easy; the length of the two combined means this route is a two-day trip. It climbs up the cliffs near Tanner Delta, and after following some pretty beaches it climbs again, this time up some especially narrow ridges before returning to the tranquil canyon bottom. This secluded, seldom-traveled trail, which was named after a prospector, offers seldom-seen rewarding views of the Colorado River and the North Rim.
