New River Trail Details

As one of Phoenix's safer urban cycle paths, this trail is a must-do if you are looking for a bit of fresh air. It has almost 17-miles of well-maintained concrete pavement and does not cross through any intersections or streets so that you can enjoy your ride in peace away from any major road activity. Although most cyclists stay on the trail the entire way, you can veer off to relax in a park or to grab a bottle of water. The Rio Visa Community Park is located right on the path and has restrooms, picnic areas, and drinking fountains if you are looking for a quiet place to take a short break.
