Winter Activities Details
The park is open year-round, however facilities close in winter so visitors must be self-reliant and be prepared for limited access to resources in the park and surrounding areas. With the additional necessary preparations comes incredible undisturbed scenery. Visitors may hike, cross country ski, or use snowshoes on any of the trails in the park throughout the winter. It is necessary to stay on designated trails because outside of the trails trapping is legal and common. Visitors may also use snowmobiles on any public land in the park that has sufficient snow cover and is not detrimental to the natural area. Permits are not required for snowmobiles.
