Rafting Details
The park has three National Wild River that are popular for float trips: - Runs on the Tlikakila National Wild River go for 70 miles or so and take two to four days to float. Along the way, rafters on the fast-flowing Class I river will encounter a short Class II/III section near the North Fork, but this river is generally great for families and campers. The best time to raft the river is July through September. - The fast-flowing Mulchatna National Wild River keeps you floating along 100 to 230 miles over a week's time, and you may just be the only ones in sight for days. The best time to raft the Mulchatna is June through September. - Float along the Chilikadrotna National Wild River for five to seven days and you'll cover 70 or more miles. Want to keep going? You can by meeting up with the Mulchatna. Slow and fast (Class II/III) waters make this a fun trip for experienced rafters. The best time to raft the Chilikadrotna is June through September.
