Lake Brooks Road Details
This easy, one-mile trail leads from the lower bear viewing platform at the mouth of Brooks River in Naknek Lake to the head of the Brooks River at Lake Brooks. Along the way you'll pass through the intersections with Brooks Falls Trail and the road to Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes. Keep going straight until you reach the shores of Lake Brooks. At the lake there are vault toilets, food storage containers, and a picnic area. Bears sometimes fish for salmon here during August and September. The lake is also used by anglers to access the upper sections of Brooks River.
