Glacier Bay Details

Considered one of the world's top five kayaking destinations, Glacier Bay provides all the right ingredients for a perfect paddling adventure: spectacular tidewater glaciers, snow-capped mountains rising dramatically from the sea, intact wilderness teeming with wildlife, serene beach campsites dotting the shoreline, and an endless numbers of possible paddling routes. Wherever you decide to go in the bay, you're sure to find yourself in a sea kayaker's paradise. The bay splits into the East and West Arms on its northern end. East Arm includes Muir Inlet, Wachusett Inlet, and Adams Inlet. West Arm includes Johns Hopkins Inlet, Rendu Inlet, Reid Inlet, and Scidmore Bay. Bartlett Cove, the location of the park's headquarters, is in the southeast part of Glacier Bay, just south of the Beardslee Islands.
