The Visitor Information Station (VIS) Details
Boaters can find information and permits at the Visitor Information Station (VIS) found at the head of the public-use dock in Bartlett Cove. All boaters are required to obtain a free boating permit and complete a boating orientation prior to any activity in the park. The VIS operates from May through September. In May, VIS hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m; in June through August from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m; and in September from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Boaters are required to call the VIS upon arrival to the park at 907-697-2627. The VIS has restrooms, potable water, trash and recycling, and maps.
