Forest Bay Trail Details
This easy loop walk is a great introduction to the park, and for an even more educational experience you can join a park ranger on daily guided hikes on this trail. From the Glacier Bay Lodge, just off the parking lot, follow a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk for the first part of the trail, which brings you to two viewing platforms by a pond. Soak in the sights and sounds of the temperate forest and marsh wildlife here. After about half a mile on the accessible path, the trail continues through spruce and hemlock forest, depositing you on the beach. Follow the trail along the shore back to the Visitor Center, ending at the boat dock.
