Bartlett Cove is the main gateway for visitors in Glacier Bay National Park. Whether you are looking for hikes, lodging, parking, or information about the park, you almost certainly will pass through Bartlett Cove at some point during your visit unless you're on a cruise ship. The main developed area in Bartlett Cove houses Glacier Bay Lodge as well as a Visitor Center on the second floor. Close by is the park's only established campground and the public-use dock. Several of the park's most accessible hiking trails start and end in Bartlett Cove, with marked signs at trailheads. Although Bartlett Cove is open year-round, services are limited in winter; high season is May through September.
