Bartlett Cove is the main gateway for visitors in Glacier Bay National Park. The main developed area in Bartlett Cove houses Glacier Bay Lodge as well as a Visitor Center on the second floor. Close by is the park's only established campground and the public-use dock. Several of the park's most accessible hiking trails start and end in Bartlett Cove, with marked signs at trailheads. Although Bartlett Cove is open year-round, services are limited in winter; high season is May through September.
