Arrigetch Peaks Details

The Arrigetch ('fingers of the outstretched hand' in the Inupiat language) Peaks are a collection of granite spires in the Endicott Mountains in northern Alaska. Offering top-notch climbing and wilderness mountaineering opportunities, these peaks are part of the Brooks Range. With an elevation of 7,192 feet, this climb presents several challenges. You should expect to spend about 21 days in the area due to its remote location and several factors that will slow your climb. For example, climbing here is gear intensive so plan to lug along additional weight. Don't be discouraged from climbing or backpacking here, however. The peaks provide some of the best vantage spots for sunrise or sunset.
