Skyline Drive Details
Intersecting with Denali Park Road at mile 91.55, Skyline Drive is one of a number of old mining roads that now see much more foot traffic (hikers) than automobiles. The road leads into the Kantishna Hills and allows hikers to reach Quigley Ridge, the Wickersham Dome, and the rest of the Eureka Creek area, and from the ridgetop you'll enjoy outstanding, close-up views of Mt. McKinley. The nearby Skyline Lodge is a good base for day hikes into this region of the park. Because there are many remaining parcels of private property here, it's best to stick to the roads and established trails in this area.
