A non-profit education program founded by former McKinley (Denali) National Park rangers in 1959, Alaska Geographic supports Alaska's parks, forests, and refuges connects people to these natural treasures. The group partners with Alaska's 15 national parks, 16 national wildlife refuges, and two national forests, operating bookstores, publishing books, maps, video and free visitor guides, and offering classes through the Alaska Geographic Field Institute.
