Waterside House Campsite and Tipi Hire Details
On the northern shores of Ullswater and at the foot of Barton Fell is the Waterside House Campsite and Tipi Hire. For something unique, choose to stay in a North-American style tipi, featuring wood floors with carpet, a futon bed, lamps, kitchen utensils, a firepit and gas stove. Tipi guests should bring their own bedding, however. There's also a large tent-camping area, and facilities include hookups, Wi-Fi, laundry, a shop, boat launch and parking area, and a play area, table tennis and volleyball court. The campsite also offers activities such as mountain biking, sailing, fishing and pony trekking. The property functions as a working farm, and is home to a flock of Swaledale Ewes; if you'd rather explore a local village and its pubs, Pooley Bridge is one mile from the campsite and can be reached via the lakeshore footpath.
