Use this detail page to confirm that the stop is worth it, then carry that decision into a trip draft while the park context is still fresh.
Sailing Details
You can hire a sailboat, take lessons, or rent one to take out on one of the lakes, tarns or waters of Lake District National Park. The National Park's Coniston Boating Centre rents dinghies, electric boats and kayaks as well as electric and mountain bikes to visitors. Kayaks and dinghies can also be hired at the National Park's Visitor Centre at Brockhole on Windermere. Private boat hire companies can also be found elsewhere on Windermere and on Derwentwater and Ullswater that will provide the equipment, skills, and lessons necessary to get out and enjoy the water.
