One of three information centers in Lake District National Park, the Bowness-on-Windermere Information Centre is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m and is located on Glebe Road in Bowness-on-Windermere. The center offers free Wi-Fi, an accommodation booking service and information on both local and national attractions. Visitors can also get route-finding advice for driving, trains, or taking buses, as well as for walking and cycling in the park. There are maps, books, touring and walking guides for sale, as well as other gifts and souvenirs. Wheelchairs are available for rent. The Bluebird by the Bay Cafe features locally made cakes and pies, as well as drinks and ice cream; it's open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
