Accessibility Details
The Lake District National Park has a number of accessible options and activities available across the park. The [Miles Without Stiles](http://www.lakedistrict.gov.uk/visiting/thingstodo/walking/mileswithoutstiles) routes include 42 paths across the Park suitable for those with limited mobility like wheelchair users, families with pushchairs and the visually impaired. These routes are all ranked on a scale that takes into account both path surface conditions and the steepness of the path. Some paths are relatively flat and suitable for wheelchairs; others may be steeper, but have handrails and other aids in place to assist the visually impaired. Check out the list to see which paths are open for those who need access assistance. Throughout the National Park private businesses and public spaces have varying degrees of accessible-friendly design although most are now wheelchair accessible. Check with ones you wish to visit before you do to ensure they're able to accommodate your particular need.
