Use this detail page to confirm that the stop is worth it, then carry that decision into a trip draft while the park context is still fresh.
Camping Details
There's only one campground in Virgin Islands National Park and that's Cinnamon Bay Campground. Cinnamon Bay has three types of accommodations: cottages, tents, and bare sites. Cottages are 15-foot by 15-foot screened-in rooms with four twin beds and killer views. Each of the 40 cottages has electric lights and electrical outlets, a fan, a picnic table, a gas stove and charcoal grill, an ice chest and water storage, cooking and eating utensils, and fresh linens (changed twice per week). Cottages range from $81 to $163 per night. There are 63 sites for tents, including both tent sites and bare sites. Tent sites include large, canvass-walled structures on elevated wooden platforms, mosquito nets, cots, linens, a picnic table, a gas stove and charcoal grill, a lantern, an ice chest and water container, and a storage locker. Tent sites range from $67 to $93 per night. Bare sites are the most rustic accommodations at the campground. They provide the basics: a clean, level spot to pitch a tent, a picnic table and a charcoal grill; you bring the tent, the linens, the cooking utensils, cooler, and everything else. Prices are a flat $37 per night. You can reserve your tent, bare site, or cottage by calling Cinnamon Bay Campsite at 800-539-9598.
