Plan Around Wildlife Viewing
A good stop is not just something to read about. Once it belongs on the day, move into a saved trip and build the route around it.
Use this detail page to confirm that the stop is worth it, then carry that decision into a trip draft while the park context is still fresh.
Wildlife Viewing Details
With all of its natural landscape, wildlife viewing is superb in Banff National Park. Be sure to grab your binoculars and, if you're a photographer, your telephoto lens to capture the magnificent wildlife that live within Banff National Park. Some species that you may spot during a visit include bears, elk, moose, coyote, fox, or wolf. As always, safety comes first, even when viewing wildlife: do not surround, crowd, or follow an animal; never try and pose with wildlife; do not stalk or pursue wildlife; never follow an animal into the woods or brush; do not feed or make animal calls to attract wildlife. And remember, if you cause an animal to move, you are too close.
