Vermilion Lakes Details
In the Bow River Valley, you will find the three Vermilion Lakes. These lakes offer spectacular views of Sulphur Mountain and Mount Rundle, and, because of the natural wetland formed in the valley, yields incredible viewing opportunities of eagles, elks, swans, ospreys, heron, coyotes and much more. If you are looking to cast a line, the lakes are home to fish as well, just make sure you have the proper permitting from the park. You'll find the lakes a short five minute drive west of Banff off of Vermillion Lakes Drive. There are several road side canoe launches and floating docks along the road where you can begin your adventure.
