Vermillion Lake Scenic Drive Details

Even smaller still at just 4.3 kilometers (2.7 miles), the Vermilion Lakes Scenic Drive makes a big impact. Though a much smaller drive compared to its compatriots, plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities as well as stunning scenery and outstanding photo opps await on the Vermilion Lakes Scenic Drive. Just five minutes west of downtown Banff, the drive starts just before the exit to the TransCanada Highway and runs alongside a set of shallow lakes that make perfect habitats for birds and other wildlife, and provide stunning views of Mount Rundle and Sulphur Mountain. Hiking and canoeing are also popular activities on Vermillion Lake.
