Tunnel Technical Trails Details

Designed and built in partnership with the Bow Valley Mountain Bike Alliance, the Tunnel Technical Trails offer three different distances and sets of obstacles from which to choose. Have fun on these technical trails with wooden features, curving berms, a wall ride, ladder bridges and endless switchbacks. Though the trails are rated difficult, there are some portions that moderate riders will find accessible, too. Check in with the Banff Visitor Centre for a detailed map and which sections are best for different levels of riders. Trail guides and cycling maps are available, and be sure to follow the park's rules and regulations to make the most of your ride: be bear aware; ride on designated trails; avoid riding during extreme conditions; help preserve the trails' quality; know your limits; yield to other riders; and, of course, leave no trace. **Trail Type**: Out and Back **Difficult:** Difficult **Distance:** three options - 2 kilometers round trip (1.2 miles), 3 kilometers round trip (1.9 miles), or 5.6 kilometers round trip (3.5 miles) **Trailhead:** Tunnel Mountain Drive near the reservoir
