The Tunnel Mountain Trailer campground is open May 12 - October 2 (dates subject to change), and reservations are available during that timeframe. There are 321 full service camping sites found within the campground, and a maximum of two vehicles, two tents, one RV and six people are permitted on each site. The full-service sites (15 and 30 AMPS) can accommodate RVs up to 15 meters (50 feet). Open campfires are not permitted at the Tunnel Mountain Trailer campground.'The campground features flush toilets, showers, a sanitation dump, disability access and interpretation programs. Fees for Tunnel Mountain Trailer are $38.20/night (fees subject to change). Check-in time for all campgrounds is 2 p.m., and check out is 11 a.m. Note that there isn't any Internet/Wi-Fi service at the campgrounds. Camping is popular within Banff National Park, and there are plenty of camp sites from which to choose during your visit. Camping fees vary by campsite and are in addition to park entry fees; cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, debit cards and travelers checks are accepted forms of payment. If camping in Banff National Park, the rule of thumb is to be prepared for anything. To help you prepare for your camping trip, park rangers suggest you bring along with you: warm and waterproof clothing; hats and mitts/gloves (weather can be unpredictable year-round); umbrellas; groundsheet for your tent; sleeping mat; warm sleeping bag; and extra blankets.
