Tunnel Bench Loop Details
Though the Tunnel Bench Loop trail is typically ridden clockwise, it's up to you which way you ride. The popular loop trail's entry-level single track is winding with minimal elevation gain, yet some sections have some serious vertical exposure (if you're uneasy, be sure and walk your bike in these areas). Along the ride, you'll come upon incredible views of Mount Rundle and Cascade Mountain, iconic throughout the park, as well as the Fairholme Range. Be sure to take some time and take in the scenery. Trail guides and cycling maps are available, and be sure to follow the park's rules and regulations to make the most of your ride: be bear aware; ride on designated trails; avoid riding during extreme conditions; help preserve the trails' quality; know your limits; yield to other riders; and, of course, leave no trace. **Trail Type:** Loop **Difficulty:** Moderate **Distance**: 19.4 kilometers round trip (12 miles) **Trailhead:** Hoodoos parking area or Tunnel Mountain Campground **Connector:** The Toe and Surprise Corner to Hoodoos
