Hot Springs Details
After a day of exploring Banff National Park, rest your weary muscles in the park's natural hot springs. The area's hot springs are actually part of the reason that Banff National Park is in existence today. In 1883, three Canadian Pacific Railway workers discovered hot springs in a cave on the eastern slopes of Alberta's Rocky Mountains. Today, those same hot springs are enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, and in the park you will find Banff Upper Hot Springs, which were discovered in 1884. Go on, relax in the warm waters, just as generation have for more than 100 years.
