Hiking Details

If you're going to lace up your hiking boots, keep in mind that prime hiking season is July through mid-September. That being said, more than 1,600 kilometers (1,000 miles) of maintained trails await exploration, many of which are easily accessed from the Town of Banff and Village of Lake Louise. Those trails are designated easy, moderate and difficult, and range from a few hours to full-day hikes. Before setting out, check trail conditions to know what you're going into.
