The Cambrian Pavilion was built in the Cascades of Time Garden in downtown Banff as part of the effort to support the growing tourism in the area during that time period. The open-walled garden pavilion was built in 1934-35 and was funded by the Department of Public Works; the project provided relief for unemployed workers during the Great Depression.
