Canadian Pacific Railway Station - Banff Details
The two-story, Arts-and-Crafts-style railway station was built in 1910 to support the amount of people coming to Banff National Park as a result of Canadian Pacific's efforts to increase tourism in the area. Located at the foot of Lynx Street, the train station faces the commercial center of downtown Banff, both when it was constructed and still today. Today, the Canadian Pacific Railway Station in Banff is still used by the Rocky Mountaineer and the Royal Canadian Pacific train service. It is listed on Canada's Historic Places and the Canadian Register, and is a Federal Heritage Building.
