Bayshore Loop Trail Details

The trail is lined with mangroves and beckons with views of coastal prairies and Florida Bay. It passes through what used to be the original fishing village of Flamingo, so keep an eye out for remnants. After reaching the water at around .7 miles, the trail bends back towards the Flamingo Campground, an excellent place to spot birds. The Bayshore Loop is also an awesome place to watch the sunrise or sunset. The trail begins at a trailhead in the back of the C Loop at Flamingo Campground. Unlike the majority of trails in the Flamingo area, no bicycles are allowed on the trail. Bayshore Loop is not wheelchair accessible.
