West Lake Trail Details

This self-guided boardwalk trail loops through an exotic and gnarled mangrove forest. Giant ferns appear from the forest floor, and during the dry season spiders spin webs between the trees, creating a dream-like scene between the black mangroves. Red mangroves line the lake; note that their roots are covered with thick layers of salt coming from the brackish water of West Lake. Benches are available to sit and enjoy the view; the trail is wheelchair-accessible.
