From the south entrance to the park, travel east on Route 62, past Fort Klamath. Roughly 13 miles past Fort Klamath, turn left onto South Chiloquin Road, which will take you to downtown Chiloquin, Ore. Chiloquin, a small town of less than 800 residents, is an old pioneer village thought to be named after one of the Klamath Chiefs who was present when settlers signed a treaty to acquire local land in the 1860s. The town sits at around 4,200-feet and has several lodging options, including Cozy in the Pines Ranch and Melita's Restaurant, Motel and RV Park. Despite its small size, Chiloquin has a number of tasty dining options including El Rodeo Restaurant, an authentic Mexican restaurant; the Potbelly Cafe, serving breakfast and lunch; and The Table, a family style restaurant famous for its large portions.
