The Ledges Trail Details
ALERT: Ice Box Cave is now closed in an effort to slow the spread of a disease to the park's bat population. While often visited because of the geologic formation popularly known as Ledges, this trail is also well known for its scenic vistas of Cuyahoga Valley. Entering a unique forest inhabited by plants typically found in colder climates, the trail quickly passes a few picnicking spots before reaching the rocky area surrounding the Ledges. Side trails to a nearby natural cold spring and the Ice Box Cave lead off the path before it leaves the Ledges and climbs a steep hill to the popular outlook over the valley.
