Olmsted Point Details

From this vantage point along Tioga Road you're looking into the Yosemite Valley from the east. It's a much different perspective than from other popular overlooks: you might not even recognize Half Dome, even though it's actually one of the most prominent peaks visible from here. That's the back of Half Dome to your right, with Cloud's Rest on the left. The big body of water you see is Tenaya Lake. To take full advantage of the views, hike the quarter-mile trail from the parking lot.
