Twin Firs Loop Trail Details

This .4-mile trail cuts through a forest of huge, ancient trees and across several streams, and is the perfect nature hike for families. Breathe in the scents of the lowland forest, and discover all the new growth among the fallen trees and giant ferns on the forest floor. Look for Douglas firs, Western hemlock, lodge-pole pine, and dogwoods on this short walk. The trailhead is located 2 miles west of Longmire, between Longmire and the park's Nisqually Entrance. Trail stats: .4 miles; 50 feet of elevation gain; 20 minutes.
