Rampart Ridge Details

Rampart Ridge was formed by an ancient lava flow that descended from the summit of Mount Rainier. It cooled and hardened, and then rivers carved out valleys on either side of the flow, creating the impressive ridge. Today, you can hike along the ridge, high above Longmire.
