Lake Eleanor Details
This 20-acre alpine lake is located in the northeast section of Mount Rainier National Park, only about three-quarters of a mile from the border of Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. To reach the lake at 4,985 feet, park in the lot on Forest Road 73, which is accessed via State Route 410 from Enumclaw, and follow the forested path about 1 mile southwest in the direction of Grand Park. Get a backcountry permit from the White River ranger station to stay overnight here.
