The Fryingpan Glacier on Mount Rainier's eastern flank stretches from 9,800 feet, at the foot of Little Tahoma Peak, to about 7,100 feet. It's separated from the Whitman Glacier to the south by the narrow Whitman Crest (9,323 feet), and its surface is heavily crevassed, due to the topography. Numerous snowfields can be found near the foot of the glacier, which drains into the White River.
