The final resting place of legendary Death Valley conman and character Walter E. Scott, a.k.a. "Death Valley Scotty," sits on a hillside overlooking Scotty's Castle. Signs at Scotty's Castle point visitors to the gravesite on Windy Point. There is a memorial to Scotty as well as to his dog, Windy. NOTE: Due to historic flooding in November 2015, the Scotty's Castle are sustained heavy damage to roads and infrastructure and is closed to visitors until further notice.
