Scotty's Castle Visitor Center Details

If you want to see what's behind the walls at Scotty's Castle, make your first stop the adjacent Scotty's Castle; here's where you can buy tickets for the Ranger-led tours of this desert landmark -- the only way visitors can access the inside of the castle. The visitor center also features a Death Valley Natural History Association bookstore, a snack bar and exhibits about Scotty's Castle. It is open daily in the winter, 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., Friday through Monday only from May through August. NOTE: Due to historic flooding in November 2015, the Scotty's Castle are sustained heavy damage to roads and infrastructure and is closed to visitors until further notice.
