The 100-mile long Panamint Range forms the mountainous western side of Death Valley and the east side of the Panamint Valley. Telescope Peak is the high point in the range and, indeed, all of Death Valley. Other Death Valley National Park points of interest in the Panamint Range include the Ballarat and Panamint City ghost towns, the Wildrose campground and charcoal kilns, and the Mahogany Flat campground.
