Paradise Inn Details
The historic Paradise Inn has welcomed visitors since 1916, including President Harry Truman, who stopped here in 1945 and played a song on the inn's piano (still on view in the inn's main lounge area). The rustic-looking inn has modern amenities for a cozy stay, and typically remains open from mid-May to early October, depending on the weather. Located at 5,420 feet, the inn has 121 guest rooms, a café, a full-service dining room, a post office, a gift shop, and the Jackson Visitor Center. The hotel also has wheelchair-accessible rooms and wheelchair access in the dining room, the visitor center (including the exhibits, theater, and dining area), and the restrooms at Paradise Plaza in the upper parking lot. Rent a wheelchair to use inside the Jackson Visitor Center. Those with their own wheelchairs can take a gravel ramp or, with help, a steep paved ramp from the upper parking lot to the lower meadows. To book a room, contact 360-569-2275 on Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
