Day Mountain Details
Someone was feeling pretty generous when giving this 583-foot shoreline prominence the name "mountain." Many Acadia visitors have conquered this modest summit on foot, by bike, or via horseback or carriage ride as it is the only peak in the Park with a carriage road that leads to its summit. The mountain is located east of Seal Harbor; the hike up the Day Mountain Trail is just half a mile and you'll enjoy views of the Cranberry Islands from the top.
