Schoodic Institute Details
Schoodic Institute partners with the National Park Service to make Acadia National Park a model for public engagement in science and the interaction between research and education. The Schoodic Education and Research Center campus includes a modern auditorium, lodging, dining, meeting, research, and classroom facilities. The group's partnership with Acadia comprises the largest research learning center within the National Park Service. Members of the public are encouraged to visit the Welcome Center in Rockefeller Hall on the Schoodic Education and Research Center campus (located at 9 Atterbury Circle in Winter Harbor, Maine) and attend a presentation, tour, workshop, or class. You can also volunteer and participate in science. The Institute is a nonprofit organization partially funded by public contributions.
